Yield: 2 servings
Ingredients:
90 g or 1/2 cup millet groats
1 cup cold water
pinch of salt
heated milk of any choice
fresh fruits as garnish
Instructions:
Before cooking, millet groats should be rinsed with plenty of cold water in a fine sieve. Make sure to shake the sieve vigorously until the water flowing from the groats is transparent.
In the small non-stick saucepan bring water to boil, add salt and millet groats.
You should only stir the groats immediately after adding them to the water. You should NOT stir the groats while cooking because they may stick to the pot if you choose to use regular saucepan.
Lower the temperature, cover the pot and cook for 15 minutes or until almost all the water has been absorbed.
After cooking, the millet groats should remain covered for another 5 minutes.
Serve with heated milk and fresh fruits of your preference
